Andre Norton: An Appreciation

Today is Andre Norton's birthday.  (She was born Alice Mary Norton on February 17, 1912 and died March 17, 2005.)  I teethed on her stories, and some of them are still favorites.

Here's the link to more info on Wikipedia:

(I see her High Hallack library has closed down.  I was a charter member of that when it began.  I've got the certificate somewhere.)

And here's another Andre Norton website: Andre Norton  It has a bibliography and also some recommended books, including Too Many Magicians (Lord Darcy) by Randall Garrett.  (I've got a 3-in-1volume, Lord Darcy, that includes that.)

I see that Crota by Owl Goingback is also recommended.  (I interviewed him some time ago.)  Link:  The Eternal Night Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Web Site

My favorite stories and novels include: "All Cats Are Gray," The Beastmaster, Catseye, Witchworld, Year of the Unicorn, Forerunner Foray, and Sea Siege (which I'd love a sequel to).  The Key of the Keplian, co-written by Lyn McConchie, is also a favorite.  (I interviewed her too, but it's not archived anywhere.)  And check out the Catfantastic anthologies.
